Next week I’m going to be talking about the few programs, notebooks, and work-flows that I use to help keep organized and productive throughout my day.
What do you use that helps you get things done?
How do you stay productive and organized?
Or are you?

Without revealing too much my main tools are iGTD, a pocket grid Moleskine Journal and handy mail.app folders.

I mostlty utilize the stickies and task functions that i sync between my mac and my blackberry. It helps me keep all my details together.

Definitely iCal…. with reminders and alarms (either sent to my email or a nice little pop up on my computer).
One handy treasure I have found is my Real Simple dual notebook. It’s a little notebook with two sides that I keep in my purse. (I don’t always have a computer handy!) One side is all work and the other side for home or personal stuff. Very handy. Gotta love anything in the Real Simple line! (www.realsimple.com)
Shawn — what’s iGTD? I’ve heard you mention it before.

I currently have to use a PC at work, so I use Outlook’s calendar. Once I get Word for Mac, I may work primarily on my Macbook and will use iCal to keep myself organized.
Still, my whiteboard at work is my most useful organization tool. I update it every Friday.

I use a Palm and a notebook. The key thing is not just writing everything down that needs to be done, but actually putting all your tasks into time slots. That shows very quickly and easily what you really have time for that day.

I actually keep most things in my head. But when I need to remember something that’s top priority for that day or more than a week away, I use a stickie on my mac dashboard. I’m just too lazy to use iCal. … There’s also the occasional cell phone alarm.

I use a pocket sized moleskine yearly calendar with small post it notes on the outside of the moleskine as my to-do lists. I printed out the 5 Lifestyles Practice for Maturity in God and the 3 Daily goals as my bookmark.

Paper planner works best for me. The post it notes qualify as “free floating paper” which could get lost. I underutilize the electronic stuff primarily because I learned a paper system first and the batteries never need charging. Having said that I am open to change so I’ll be reading with interest.

Isn’t there a song… when the music fades and all is stripped away…you young ones have such fresh brains; why do you need so many tools to remind yourselves of what to do? Not to stir the pot or anything…

I use the Google suite of (free) products. Mail, calendar, spreadsheets, and docs. I have Google calendar send me reminders when I need them.
However, I still lack real focus and organization!
