I have never dual posted before, but it came out so nice on the onething blog that I just had to copy/paste it.
You may or may not know that I grew up in Castle Rock, Colorado. I walked to elementary school. I walked to junior high. I walked to high school … until I got my first car - then I drove the 1/2 mile instead.
My home church is Church of the Rock. Well, it’s not called that anymore. Now it’s just “The Rock.” Dave Dennis was my childrens pastor. Sean Dunn was my youth pastor.
In 2001, after moving to Kansas City, I realized that I would one day move back to Castle Rock to serve The International House of Prayer in Castle Rock. Right now it is a humble prayer meeting that goes every other Friday night, and is led by some of the most noble men and women on earth. One day it will be a night & day prayer furnace and a center for revival.
Neither words nor blog posts could describe how fired up I am about the onething conference this weekend. I have been to nearly every single regional event, and for years I have been telling those in the cities we visit that I believe there is a prophetic flag that gets raised when we come there. Perhaps hearts will turn to the Lord, but I believe that our conferences are signposts of revival and refuge in stretegic cities accross the nation. This weekend, it’s my city.

p.s. I’ve already done an A.A. post for Crowfoot, but you can expect another one. That place is goooooood. Just ask Randy.

We share the same (or close to the same) name, and now I find out we grew up in the same region? Weird.
I grew up in Colorado Springs.

I’ve been snowboarding exactly once in my life. I went with other experienced skiers and found myself at the top of a double black diamond 15 minutes before the lifts closed.
I will probably never go snowboarding again.
(Also, I’m going to go ahead and check that handy “notify me” box so I don’t miss another response from you. Sorry about that.)
