Tell Us About Your Blog, Get Linked and Win a Spot on the Premium Links

March 03rd, 2007 | Weekend Survey | Syndicate Content

There are so many great blogs out there just waiting to be discovered. I wanted to give you a chance to tell all the FTSA readers about your site.

Please tell us about yourself in the comments.

Hopefully we will all find a hidden gem or two that makes our RSS subscriptions a little more saucy.

That’s Not All…

1. I am updating the names under the “Premium Links”. I have two sites picked out but I need one or two more. If I like your site then you just might find yourself on FTSA’s sidebar next week…

2. After the weekend, I will take all your sites and put them together into a cleaner, more tidy list for everyone to browse through.

What to Tell us About Yourself:

Put your Blog link in then “Website” field and in the comments box tell us about your site:

1. What are one or two categories that your site may fall under?
2. Why are you writing and publishing?
3. Does your blog have a tag-line?

1.my site falls under humor and religion

2.I wirte because it’s an outlet for me and I love to do it. It feels great to get your opinions out so people can read them. I also write to share about God and hopefully impact people with what I have to say.

3.My tagline is:one of those people that waste thier lives in prayer. I’m trying to think of a better one.

I must say Mr. Blanc, nice website! I’m just breaking into the blogging ring and you have something to aspire to here. My site is brand new and will take some time to get going but if nothing else I do have a tagline: “Filling the Void one Stone at a Time”

I am enjoyng reading the blogs out there. it makes me feel more connected to people I don’t get to have a heart to heart with regularly.

1a. I ‘fight to stay awake’ too…I just use a carefully blended mixture of hot and cold tea during the day…not coffee

1b. I hope I fall under - spiritually provoking & needlessly promoting content

2a. the better question is: “why not write and publish?” - its fun and free, and you don’t have to be anointed…although anointing may help.

2b. ok ok, i write so others can track w/ me and I can track w/ them. It’s about the connection w/ friends, family, supporters, and acquaintances.

2c. I write b/c Shawn writes alot more than i do. (and alot better than I do - *brwn nose remark*)

3a. if i had a tagline it coule be “i fight to stay awake too” but probably would be “Steve&Amanda…ninjas can’t handle us”

    1. My blog falls under the category “christian devotionals”. I often write about things that grip me during my time of reading the bible, contemplating, meditating on the love of GOD etc. I do write stupid nonsense as well..but that falls under the category “that’s just me”

    2. I write because i have something to say, i wanna get my heart out there..and because i love to read other blogs as well..I wanna learn from others. And when I write, others have the chance to tell about their story.

    3. tagline: I’m a prisoner..I can’t explain this mystery, but i’m a prisoner of love”

    1. Photography and Personal

    2. To share the beauty of God in the people and world around me through photos. Because it is a business blog, I don’t talk directly about my faith, but it is not hard to miss either. A lot of my photos are of IHOP people and experiences. :D

    3. No, maybe it should!

ps. I have a link to The Fight Spot on my links page!

    1. As for category, I echo Ruth. I post the things I am meditating on or have been provoked about, spiritually. I also occasionally post random things that my mom wants to know (like the weather in KC or what piece we’re doing in choir) but that most readers could easily skip over.

    2. I started writing mostly to keep updated those friends and family who are curious but not quite prepared for a face to face conversation about what’s going on here - here in KC at IHOP and here in my own heart. At this point I am still writing for that basic audience, but striving to proclaim the testimony of His greatness by way of what He is doing in me to whomever cares to listen.

    3. I had a tagline, once upon a time (Adventures on the way to Zion), but it has since been discharged into the void by a theme change. For now, I think the title (Vagabond on a Journey) is description enough.

My site falls under faith, life and emerging technology.

I write first of all because I use it as a ministry to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and secondly to try to make a connection with people.

I try to mix up my tag line from time to time. Currently it is Don’t Worry It’s A Short One.

    1. Daily Devotions/Cellphone Downloads/Christianity

    2. I started the website to share the daily devotions that I converted for my cell phone. It’s been very rewarding to get feedback on how the mobile devotions have been a blessing to Christians all over the world, especially feedback from Africa and Indonesia.

Hey Shawn, love your site. My site - seventeenthree.com -

    1) end-times, psalmistry, and devotional theology

    2) a community of people here in texas love the Lord and writing, and want to grow and encourage one another on in “writing to discover the knowledge of God” - so based on John 17:3 (hence the name) it is a community writing project with submitting “authors” (5-7, male and female)that will grow over time!

    3) Seventeen Three - Expression. Discussion. Interaction. Life in Jesus.

    1. Night and Day Prayer & The Cheesesteak Challenge
    2. This blog is a way of maintaining my sanity as a marketplace intercessor. You might even think of it as an East Coast extension of the FTSA philosophy.
    3. Building Prayer for Philadelphia… One Cheesesteak at a Time.

PS. I also have a link to FTSA
PPS. Although the Cheesesteak Challenge is over, there is always the possibility of a special “dispensation” for full-time intercessors visiting the Philadelphia area!

    1. Prayer, Bible study, occasional random humor and/or ninja antics
    2. I blog because I feel I’m called to combine prayer and writing. My main verses are Isaiah 62:6-7 and Habbakuk 2:1-3. My audience is those who are involved in the global prayer movement.
    3. My tagline is “I will not keep silent.”

    1. Tech/Personal

    2. I blog because I enjoy writing and improving my writing skills. I also do it because I like meeting new people and interacting with people all around the world. Plus I like expressing my opinions and thoughts on various topics.

    3. My blog does have a tagline, it is called Home of the Deer. I only recently gave it that tagline; I have struggled to find one! I called it that because there has been a Deer on the banner of my site since about December 06. I plan to keep it on there as it has become quite an iconic image of One Way Link.

I think my site would fall under devotional thoughts and meditations.

I write, most of the time, to keep track of stuff the Lord tells me or shows me. I want random people who visit the site to maybe, just maybe, feel the Holy Spirit in the words He gives.

My tag is “In all thy getting, get understanding.”

    1. Equipping site for Christian artists
    2. Because many christian artists, while called and gifted often have no idea where to start. And often end up yielding to the pursuit of fame and fortune. But God is calling for a generation of nameless and faceless artists - and this will be a challenge in this celeb/marketing/self-promo/competitive society. So I write to educate and inspire. (others write too)

    3. “for those who make Christian music…”

    1. What “Macaroni and Cheese” might be found under:
    *Slapdash Hilarity/Absurdity
*Unpretentious, Get-Under-Your-Skin, Rubble-Rousing Questions/Answers about God, His Word, and His Plan for the End of our Times.

    2. Why do I Cast my Words? I have a voice and I’m gonna use it. There is a reason for the Blessed Hope that is in me and I am compelled by Love to share it. I’m expecting response, retaliation, and most of all, that rare, coveted resonance, with even a core of ones who will be provoked and provoke me to pursue friendship with the Bridegroom to the highest of heights that can be had.

    3. The tag-line: Substance and Flavor.
Gotta have both if you want to inspire hungry, distracted, genuine, weak humans. It’s a fine line - I don’t want to bore myself with copycat brainloads, and I don’t want to waste my time with nothingness unto nothingness, either. I will say that the wordcast community that laughs together, stays together. I think that’s the way the saying goes, anyways. But when it’s all said and done, I want to have actually said something. There are real, precious souls, who if I can impress to go on to maturity, well, there is my joy and crown. Also, I am sometimes a rather blunt piece of iron that needs to be sharpened by fellow shards. That’s a compliment, you shard.

All in all…I’m responding to the call to herald the proclamation of God’s heart to the planet. The medium of our times happens to be the world wide web. So be it!

    1. It would be hard to classify my blog, I have a little bit of Mac/technology, a bit of design, a bit of the Christian side of things and anything I like really. I guess its personal, pretty much sums me up.

    2. I blog because I enjoy it. I like the growing interaction of people who visit and finding more blogs through it. I’d also like to glorify God through my blog, as I would in everything I do.

    3. “the life of a Christian graphic design student” is my tagline, although I’m not sure about it at the moment.

    1. My blog is a photoblog and it falls under landscape photography [most of the images].

    2. I publish because I want to inspire people to look arround them in nature and the miracles god created. I am not talking about god in my blog, because I want my images to speak.

    3. Well my blog hasnt a tagline but I am registered in coolphotoblogs.com where stands : A photoblog from Martin Gommel, living in Karlsruhe, Germany. Most of the images are shot in nature, trying to display its miracles and beauty.

    1. My blog probably falls under Christianity, Life, and Technology.

2a) I write because I love to write. It’s fun.
2b) I want to see other people win. So if anything I can share can help someone else I’m all for it.
2c) Communication/Discussion to gain more insight and articulate thoughts/ideas better.

    3. No tagline as of yet. But I am still searching for one.

    1. My blog is a journal of spiritual lessons, so it could be classified as religion/christianity.

    2. I’ve always enjoyed journaling, but I’ve decided to make it public as I get ready to move and want to stay in touch with friends. Also, I just feel it’s an outlet for some of the lessons that can tend to get “bottled up” inside of an introvert like me.

    3. No tagline. The title is “Off-Roading in the Kingdom”

    1. I suppose, since I am a late starter and the categories are already listed, mine would fall under ‘Christianity’ and ‘personal’. Though I think I am funny, rarely does anyone else agree.

    2. I blog because God is doing, showing me, teaching me, etching in me, transforming me so much that I can’t NOT share! I want to be utterly real and transparent while showing a life of a budding artist/ musician chasing full steam after her Lord and King.

    3. I do not have a tag line. Honestly, I would like to add one, but can’t figure out how. How sad is that?!

Oooh! Me too as a late person! I know, I’m a horrid procrastinator…always have been.

    1. Well, given you already have some ategories created…mostly personal. With the ocassional bits of Christianity (as with my new series on the spiritual gifts), or technology (I do have a degree in computer science, after all).

    2. Mostly, beacause I can. And because I have friends who do. And we entertain and build each other up. Oh, and that whole graduating thing has made it hard to stay in touch. Blogs help.

    3. For now, the closest I have to a tagline is the proper pronounciation of my screen name, because it’s not pronounced how it looks.

again, my appologies for the lateness.
