ME AND 19 other commrades are on our way to the first onething conference of 2007. Laguna Niguel, California. This is the third year we have held the February conference at the VCC and it’s getting too big for it’s britches.
We are expceting around 1,700 to attend. This is a good and bad problem. The main warehouse only holds 1,000. Do the math, and that puts 700 into an overflow room. Thus making this the first ever regional conference where two rooms will have simultaneous live worship. The preaching will be piped in from a video feed.
I still have the “VCCGN” wireless network password saved on my PowerBook. That means I will be blogging often durring the weekend. Last year I was blogging in Laguna it was durring the Winter Olympics.
On this site I’ll be writing about the personal aspects of the trip…i.e. IN-N-OUT (shout out to Theresa is applicable); not getting enough sleep; my good friend Chris; a possible meet up with Wess; and hopefully another chapter in Americanos Accross America. (Anybody know of a good local coffee shop in Laguna Niguel or Laguna Beach?)
I will also be blogging live with Joel on the onething blog. We will be writing on more spiritually focused matters… So check in often. Here and there.
In regards to my role at the onething let me clear up any confusion. Even though I am no longer drumming with Merchant Band I am still drumming. That’s right. I am rockin it with Mr. Justin Rizzo. And I think he suits me just fine. I have gotten more comments in the past week about my drumming on his team then in the past year with Merch.
(And yes: I do own a t-shirt that matches the California picture on this post. In fact, I’m wearing it today.)

I wish you guys were a little closer than a seven hour drive or we would be there. Oh well, we will see you in Sacramento in March. My husband is inviting everyone he knows to come.
Praying for a great conference this weekend.

Laguna Niguel is my home town!!! (our fam is now at IHOP)I am so sad to not be there this year. I have so much to say about this special city and this special church and the special people. I am praying for all who are ministering and for the conference. About coffee shops…
Diedrichs off PCH in Laguna Beach is fun because you can walk on the boardwalk and down main beach. Good for their mild coffee. Diedrichs has perhaps my favorite mocha. There is also one in Dana Point (drive through on Del Prado). Have a great time.

@ Theresa: Come on… what’s 7 hours? But if you guys are unwilling to come then I guess I’ll see you next month…
@ Katchen: I’ll try to represent for ya. I’ll see if I can get us to swing by Diedrichs. If that doesn’t work out at least there’s a Starbucks on every single corner. Literally.

What?……. This is really sad. My husband & I met at Starbucks (crown valley & alicia) and we have both worked there so we do appreciate the green logo but this is still really a bumber.
