1. I happen to be drinking a cup of Komodo Dragon (thanks Ben) with a little cream and sugar. Usually, I’m cream only.
2. At Starbucks (or other fancy coffee establishments) it’s a toss-up between an Americano or a latte (vanilla or carmel).

I have yet to acquire a taste for “real” coffee and I’m not sure that I ever will get there, but I’ve received a couple Starbucks cards lately & I have a few favorites. I love the seasonal drinks, like the Pumpkin Spice Latte and the Cinnamon Dolce Latte. I also love a good Chai Tea Latte, and the occassional Caramel Macchiato or Almond Steamed Milk.

I’m new to coffee - just about a year. I didn’t think I could drink it because caffeine does nasty things to my heart. That said, I discovered that flavored decaf is actually quite good. I’m into the foo foo type mocha latte drinks. At home, I brew flavored coffee and put lots of cream in it. The more I drink coffee, though, the less cream I take.
2. I would get a decaf mocha or their fancy Cinnamon Dolce drink.

1. I have to have my coffee black. Is even any other way of having it!
2. I would have a Vanilla Earl Grey Tea Misto, Pumpkin Spice Latte or the Cinnamon Dolce Latte. All this depends on the day and how much caffeine is already in me.
Great call on the Komodo Dragon. I happen to have some sitting and waiting for me this morning.

Starbucks is not my coffee shop of choice. They don’t call it Char-bucks for nothing. However, when they are my only choice, or the other local establishments are worse (e.g., weakly brewed coffee), I’ll go there. In fact, I’m drinking the Verona blend right now.
Fresh roasted, brewed and black.
Venti coffee (bold, no room) and a pumpkin scone.

Starbucks… yeah… I don’t know, perhaps a simple latte. I don’t trust Starbucks baristas with anything but the basics.
I gotta say it’s hard to beat what my barista-wife can whip up on a saturday morning with our espresso machine (machine looks like a funny word there - hmmm, perhaps “espresso powerhouse” or “espresso dynamo”. Whatever…)

Shane (from the above comment who happens to be my husband) told me about the Starbuck’s conversation this morning. So I thought I’d get in on talking about yummy drinks!
I’m not a coffee drinker and don’t really like the taste or the smell….but…..I do like the white chocolate mocha with one shot only of decaf expresso…mmmmmm

Coffee - BLACK
Starbucks order with a gift card - Pumpkin loaf, oatmeal raison cookie, a venti caramel Mach. with two extra shots of espresso. Then I would have to go ahead and get about 10 double shots to take home with me to have in the morning when I wake up.

Just coffee… strong and black (go ahead and finish the quote yourself)
With a giftcard to Starbucks… depends on the time of year. In summer, I like those coconut banana frapps. Don’t laugh-they’re super tasty! At Christmas, I like gingerbread lattes or cinnamon dulce lattes.

1. my coffee - if its not a latte or caramel machiotto - is always laced with lots of milk and sugar, with maybe a touch of flavor. What can I say? I’m southern.
No matter what coffee/espresso drink I get, its always decaff - caffienated isn’t worth the tricks it plays on my body.
2. Starbucks…hmm… Almond vanilla latte, caramel macchioto, or cafe aulait with vanilla flovor (although you can’t order it by calling it an aulait)… any of the above being decaff. To go with it - something like a cookie or the cheese pretzel

I’d trade them in for Caribou or our locally owned here… their coffee always tastes burnt to me.
I usually get an americano with room (skim, and two sugars) or a mocha latte depending upon my mood.
I usually go for the americano.

2. Grande nonfat 180 degree caramel macchiato. On the weekends add a lemon scone.

At Starbucks: hot cocoa with a shot of raspberry. Every time.

I prefer it black…just plain black. Call me old school.
And as far as Starbucks…I think their coffee is bitter. You know we must be on the same wave length though because I just posted about McDonalds coffee the other day over on my site.
I do have Starbucks gift cards from Christmas and I guess way get a couple of cool cups with them.

Double cream, double sugar. And I would use the gift card towards something more lasting, like a mug. (I’m not a Starbucks fan.

I didn’t realize so many people disliked Starbucks. I mean, sure I’d rather go to a quality local place, but I’ve never had a really bad cup of coffee from starbucks before.

Mine has to be milky, but not too milky, with one sugar. Fresh coffee is the best.
As far as Starbucks goes, I’m a fan! hehe. Can’t beat a Hazel Nut Latte!

My fav is a nice rich blend, with cream and cinnamon. I used to always add sugar but now if anything I’ll add a touch of honey. But… after being on the onething team I have learned to enjoy a cup or two simply with cream.
As for a gift card outing… Right now I would go for a Tall, Soy Chai, no water added and something chocolate for dessert.
Actually, another place I like to get coffee is Panera. I went all the time in college for some of their hazelnut blend and a bagel and LOVE it. However I don’t know how this rates on the “coffee snob scale.” But Tyler likes it too so it must be pretty good…

I like my coffee… Mountain Dew style. No I do not like coffee, I have never really been able to create a taste for it. And I’m not sure why, probably because of the caffeine, but I drink Mountain Dew (or some off-brand variation of it when it’s not on sale) like most people drink coffee.

@Adam,
I think you hit on an interesting point. Why do some people drink decaf coffee? What’s the point?

I almost never drink regular, I drink decaf pretty much always because Caffine jacks me up to much, But I truly love coffee So decaf works out great… In fact It can be a mark of a true coffee lover… You see we decafers drink to savour the taste of the coffee bean, while other use coffee for it’s caffinated qualities… in essence taking advantage of the coffee, and not enjoying it wholeisticly… it’s not about the caffine on the outside but the taste that’s on the inside, don’t judge a coffee by it’s caffine…

I only do coffee with a lot of added stuff to make it sweet.
Drink of choice - I rotate through several, but supposing I had a gift card and stopped caring about calories, I love their white mocha. Or just about any of their seasonal drinks.

Am I the only person that drinks coffee black anymore. I mean I’m gonna start having coffee with my grandparents cause everybody else spends more time puttin fluff in their coffee than actually enjoying it. Coffee drinkers who drink lattes should be called latte drinkers, right? I dont know, maybe I have just crossed a line I shouldn’t have crossed, oh well.
Be nice

@Ron - in my case it the fact that I was diagnosed with high blood pressure at 21. I didn’t respond to medication very well (the meds messed with my emotions horribly) and as a compromise I dropped almost all caffiene from my diet. My blood pressure dropped to a managable level with that, so… yeah, no caffiene for me. When I do have anything more than a small amount of caffiene I get jittery and shakey, and feel like I’m going to pass out.
The only real exception is some good Red Diamond Sweet Tea from time to time. (Tea has something in it that causes caffiene to be release more slowly into the blood stream, so my body can handle that.)
I won’t lie, I miss the caffiene high that comes from a triple shot venti latte’ like no body’s business.

Thanks for that explanation Emily.
My question to all decaf lovers: If you drink black, who makes it and where do you get it? I only reason I ask is because the decaf people are probably drinking the coffee for the taste.
I drink my coffee black, and it wasn’t for the caffeine, I probably wouldn’t drink any.

1) I like my cream and sweet n low with a little coffee added, plus as much cinnamon and vanilla powder as I can get in there.
2) My Starbucks of choice is either a Cinnamon Dolce Latte or a Carmel Macchiato with whip and 2 sweet and lows. (I’m busting out a gift card in the morning, in fact) In the summer… either a carmel frap or Passion Tea Lemonade.
