I came here via one of your Rock Your Blog Posts I think, subscribed as I wanted to read more about those. It wasn’t until I subscribed I discovered you were a Christian and so your blog then became a main stay, as I like to try support the Christian bloggers out there!

I read your blog for a few of those reasons - definitely the humor, the content, the insight… plus someone told me you were the king of blogging so I am trying to gain blogging skills from you :-)

I read your blog for the Christian content. I found your blog regarding the experiment in tongues to be outstanding. I have implemented this into my everyday life. I also tried an Americano after reading your blog.

I just like to read your blog. Is that a good enough reason? I’ve enjoyed your writing on the scheduling of time. You encourage me with your passion to know God and the ways you do that. I admire your devotion and discipline. When Randy doesn’t put enough photos of Zoe up, then I have to be entertained somewhere…(should I write that or not… hmmm). I also really enjoy the comment section and the interaction of your audience.

I first jumped on when you linked us all to the “Dwayne-isms” article at Chicago this past year. I was hooked from then on because we’re friends and I enjoyed the stories about IHOP, your life, etc. I love the way you write. (your one on starbucks and You’ve Got Mail is still a fav!)

However, since I’ve begun, your blog has taken a different approach….you got “serious” about blogging and began to use it to teach and interact more. All the more interested.

Plus you’re just so cool…so people see that I’m cool when I have a link on my toolbar to check your site regularly.

I would have to say all of the above… as a fellow drummer, technogeek, and IHOPer I just enjoy reading your thoughts about life in general and at IHOP. Your insight and passion encourages me and helps me to run the race harder and faster.

It helps to have people running the race with you who want to see you win. I can tell that you are a guy that wants to see other people win.

I am here because I enjoy reading your content. I may have only just started posting but I have been enjoying reading your entries for a while now :-). - Perhaps that is a bit of a bland response but then again I could be classed as a bland person :-P.

I read your blog because it’s engaging and insightful, often useful (in terms of blogging tips), and very encouraging. I like that someone who I see all the time in the prayer room and think of as very much ahead of me on this road is sometimes thinking the same things I am or struggling with the same issues I am. I like to see people being transparent in what they communicate about their Christian walk, your witness comes across as authentic because of how real you are in what you write. Blessings!

You know, I just do. I love reading about different perspectives here on the base and yours is always interesting and very insightful. It is really fun to look at all the IHOP blogs because we are all soooo different. Your perspective is a fun one to have around, so I read it.

. That’s exactly right. That is exactly why I’m here.

@Jen: Who told you I was blogging king? I owe them a cup of coffee.

I read this blog because the content and your insights on life are pretty sweet. I also read it, like I said way back when I did that interview, that It’s always sweet to read blogs by other intercessory missionaries. That was way back when You, The Bohlender Family, and Jenny Powell were the only IHOP blogs to read. Now I have many many choices…

Thanks for the comments so far! You guys rock this blog.

So I should be all spiritual and say I read your blog for “gleaning” reasons. But I really read it because I think your are funny. I am also a lover of good worship and anyone involved in blessing the Lord with their instrument/voice is ok in my book.

This is my first comment, after reading your blog for some weeks…or months(?) now:o)I found out about it because someone put up a link to your “dwaynisms-list”. Since I lack English vocabulary to repeat all the compliments of the previous comments with other words, let me just say: I really like your blog. I like the mixture of everything. When nobody updated his blog, Shawn did, for sure:)
    Keep it up!

It’s amazing to me that I get to be at IHOP for the Onething internship, spend tons of time in the prayer room, get to experience the fruit of God in all these amazing people’s lives and yet I crave to know the reality of each day, trying to be obedient to this radical love. I think you do it well. You express your heart intentions well and it spurs me. Thanks
