The Place:
Java Mountain Roastery in downtown Idaho Springs, Colorado.
They roast their own beans and have free wi-fi…(um, isn’t that what everyone does nowadays?)
The Barrista:
Debbie… She was a receptionist for 17.5 years until she had a daughter so she became a bean counter. She’s now the assistant manager and likes to give lots of information about her life to customers.
The Drink:
12 oz. Double Americano with room for $2.00
The Drinking of the Drink
It was nice and hot – I like my drinks hot – and it had a good looking ‘crema’ on top. A reassuring symbol that I’ve received an espresso drink.
The coffee tasted more acidic and bitter than I prefer. I like the sweeter, nuttier taste. But it got better as I kept drinking it.
The Conclusion:
I would go there again. I would like to order something else. Perhaps a better barrista would make a big difference.

Now this is fun. Don’t know if I’ll ever get to this little coffee shop, but I definitely appreciate a fellow connoisseur(p.s. I only spelled “connoisseur” right because spell check rocks!).

@Sean: I wouldn’t expect you to visit there. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to hit up a few coffee shops that people will be able to visit. I went to JMR on my way back from the slopes yesterday and thought it would be the perfect coffee shop to start with.
