All the stuff you write about time management has messed me up. Now I always think about how my time needs to be planned, as to accomplish things that matter. I was very happy in my delusion and now it’s just ruined. :)

Ok, putting aside sarcasm, thanks for challenging me. Oh, and you are now on my blogroll, welcome.

    Definitely Time management.
I’m never really good at managing time outside of the prayer room, and sometimes in the prayer room.

Time management, it helps me grow more in God as i learn to put my time into good use, surrendering every second into a continous pursuit of Him. managing time helps you not miss out on the big and little things the Lord wants you to experience.

The issue that has been sticking out with me is the issue of time management. Being a good steward of my time and energy. Majoring on things that are important in life and giving time to the things that have a lasting purpose.

    Easier said then done though.

The thing that I’ve been thinking on the most since these have been posted is the Bridled Speech. Thinking about Matthew 12:36:
But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

Lord help me tame my speech and bring life to those I communicate with…..

The whole time management hits me hardest too! I pulled out my Power of a Focused life CD’s. After 10 hours a day for eating and sleeping we all get 100 hours a week. The playing field is level. Bickle dosen’t get any more than I do. The most “successful” all have the same 100. It is what we do with them that makes the difference. Those 100 hundred hours are all I can think of them. Squander time and you squander life. Leverage time and you make the most of your life.

Shawn, I like the focus you have taken with your blog. It is shapping into something really good for the Body of Christ.

Giving Money….. like you said you find that at the end of the year you review your finances and you think you gave more than you did. Unless I find a way to give regularly as a part of my budget and plan I won’t give away on the fly. I liked the post about the “bucket” mentality.

@ Jo – If you need a regular giving plan, you could make a donation every time you visit Fighting To Stay Awake…

time management… we get teachings on all of the other things in church, but not stewardship of ALL of our time. i wish i had caught this earlier in life!

Time management by far outweighs the others for me. This is the thing I’ve been really working on recently and its amazing to see that I’m actually living with purpose and accomplishing things in life. Thanks Shawn.

I’d have to say Bridled speech.

@ Nick – Bridled speech is something bloggers should especially be concious of. It can be too easy to run our mouths because it seems different through the median of blogging. Just because it seems different doesn’t mean it’s o.k. though.

Actually, I bet each of these issues can be dynamically related to blogging. Think of time management vs. the addiction of writing on a blog. Time management helps keep Godly passions from turning into disctractions or even idols.

Yes, so true. In regards to speech and blogging, at my blog I would get into rather heavy debates and let me tell you it’s hard to control your tongue. And great point on time management, that’s another one I have a problem with. I tend to be a procrastinator.

Communing prayer. Took time to pray with the music player turned off in my car on my way to and back from work. Usually will be listening to Christian music or messages. Learning to appreciate silence.
