How To: Rock Your Blog

Rock-Your-Blog

Ever since I began blogging my enjoyment of it has grown with every post.

Since I want to share that joyI am starting a series about making your blog the blog you always wanted it to be.

The series is Rock Your Blog. Some of the topics I’ll be hitting:

  • Why do you blog? What is a successful blog?
  • Ideas to customize your blog so it’s more you
  • A list of plugins to make blogging stronger
  • How to make your content a little bit better
  • Some resources out there to feed your posting passion

The purpose of these posts is to help you grow into the blogger you want to be with a blog that suits you. I think blogging should be fun and helpful to all parties involved; so let’s rock our blogs!

Would you guys say this series promises to be “Rockin’”?

I guess I’d better not use that word too much or it’ll get old. By the end of the series you’ll all be throwing things at my website regardless of the damage it will do to your monitors.

Oooh. These kind of entries are right up my alley. I’ll have some nice comments on your plug-ins post depending on what’s discussed.

Are you gonna discuss how correct spelling effects clear communication … like, maybe, the difference between its, meaning belonging to, and it’s, meaning it is? :op Awwwww yeah, boyeee. Grammar rocks!

Oh Good! I’ve been such a blogger slacker that I need to get back into gear…. that and juggle the 100 other things I have going on. Looking forward to the encouragement and remembering why I started my blog in the first place. :-)

@ Josh - Grammar and spelling are for sure my worst suits. If you want to work for free on my site let me know.

@ Jo - So I guess we can look forward to more good content?

Dude, you’re American. It’s a widely accepted fact that Americans can’t spell. At least not anything with a double vowel: colOUr, favOUr, oh my, the list goes on, and on, and on, and on…….

Don’t be hard on yourself, it’s not your fault that you can’t spell - blame your forefathers: but for a certain event in Boston it could have been oh so different ;-)

Consider it consolation my brother, sincere, heart-felt consolation; and encouragement to persevere in the face of seemingly unsurmountable odds.

That it is your task in life to stand, a solitary light in the darkness that is poor spelling, that it is your true path to set a nation free from the bondage of dismal grammar, may seem too much to bear - too much for any man to carry; but know that in your adversity, a nation this side of the ocean roots for you ;-).

[you need to read that in an Anthony Hopkins voice with a rousing tune gradually increasing in volume to get the true sentiment attached to this comment :) ]
