I am thankful that I can be thankful. For real. Usually around thanksgiving I remember that many times, thankfulness is a chioce, a mind-set. It’s so easy to be occupied with what isn’t right, but focusing on the goodness of God in our life and letting gratefulness well up, is like a breath of fresh air.

Honestly…I am thankful for this season in our lives where my family and I are here at IHOP! Each day that I can drag my weak heart into the prayer room and sit at His Feet! Thank You Jesus for allowing me this chance. Is it hard? Yes! But each day I sit here and unveil a layer of my heart before Jesus…it is a day I am thankful for. Also I am thankful for His teaching me (even if I am a slow learner) to live in the “present moment”. That is what this life is teaching me. Jesus, I want to love as you love. Thank you for loving me so well!
I am thankful for my beautiful Jesus who loves me so deeply and completely.
I am thankful for my wonderful husband that loves Jesus and me a lot.
I am thankful for two amazing girls that are going after God with all their hearts.
My heart is very full today, He has set His Love upon me!
Oh yeah, I am thankful for my sweet golden retriever who teaches me about unconditional love and companionship.
I am thankful for the way God showed me His heart. The way He revealed it and still does. I’m thankful for the fact that He chooses, as majestic as He is, to reveal His great big heart to a weak human being.
I am thankful for my parents, for the way they raised me up. For the love they always showed me. It has to be a picture of God’s love for me. Unconditional.
I am thankful for my sister, she has to put up with me everyday, and she does even though I really push her to the edge at times :).
Furthermore, I’m really thankful for the food God blesses me with everyday.
Happy thanksgiving to y’all!
I’m thankful for the push and the pull, the hunger and wrestling that says “one kiss from Your word is just not enough”………….and that the turkey was juicy.
I’m thankful for the suggestion someone gave on making dorky turkeys b/c it spawned an idea we used at our Thanksgiving dinner… we traced hands on a piece of paper and passed them around to the guests who put what they were thankful for and then had to tell others about it. what a great conversation starter! So, thanks! it was a great idea. I’m also thankful for your blog, Shawn. It has enriched my life to read what you write and think.
I am Thankful for SOOO many things but particulary love & laughter (epseically when hand in hand). While in Colorado with Tyler’s family, we just spent the weekend at his Grandparent’s cattle ranch with his uncle, cousins, grandparents and two great grandmas. We had a BLAST! There’s something about having a table full of 14 people laughing and talking, who truly love each other, share jokes and stories and see what God is doing in thier lives.
After over a year of paperwork, interviews, homestudy visits, countless trips to the Sec of State and many heart wrenching nights without him here we finally have completed our adoption.
Sam is home.
Now the Orrange family is Brent, Courtney, Brooklyn and Sam. Awesome.
We don’t celebrate thanksgiving in New Zealand… shame, its a darn good reminder of the good stuff we have.
I’m thankful that I live at the ends of the earth… and that next year I get to head out into the nations and see the prophetic promises in the Word about my nation fulfilled as I do so….
I’m thankful for the incredible ways in which God provides, and is going to provide…
I’m thankful for my community… the people who are on this journey with me
I’m thankful for airplanes and cars… that I don’t have to walk everytime I go away somewhere…
I’m thankful that even when I feel like I mess up most of the time, and feel completely disqualified from the race, God picks me up off my face, and shows me that he loves me more after my failure than he did before…
