I’m in Dallas on a short (24 hour) post-Ministry Trip vacation.
So here are some links to some posts / articles I’ve dugg (including - unashamedly - a few of my own articles).
- Last weeks posts on Tips for Wholeheartedness turned out to be much way better than I had expected. Check out some of the best of the conversations here and here
- Motlong wrote a hilarious post on bass players (more on his blog to come)
- Lorelle talked about how many posts should a blog post every 24 hours (what do you think?)
- I got featured on ProBlogger’s reader quick-tips.
- The comments on this site are picking up (While writing this post 4 people have left comments). I think someone’s going to win this week.
That’s all for now. Have a good day, and I’ll see you guys when I get back.

I think one or two posts every 24 hours. Cool you got featured. I am the winner…now please quit depriving me of the incredible Burrito. I know you’ll announce the winner during a fast!

I think the ideal number of posts depends on the length/content of the posts. Randy often posts multiple times a day, but his posts are usually concise, so it’s not hard to “keep up”. Some other bloggers I read write more stream-of-consciousness type posts that tend to ramble on. If they wrote multiple posts like that each day, I would probably just skim them, or skip some altogether. In general, I agree that 1-2/day is probably ideal. More is ok if they’re short.
Last week’s tips for wholeheartedness were great. Keep it up!

I totally agree; one, maybe two daily is enough. If I log on after not seeing a blog for a day and there are already three or four new things to read I kinda zone out. Maybe that’s a personal problem…

Who says I (a bass player) can read? I never said I could read…..
I am a fan of more than 1-2 posts… however, I do get lost if they are all lengthy ones. Give me lots of short, non-important posts full of useless stuff: I’m an American, darn it!
#750… here I come….

I think 1 long post a day is enough, I tend to space out if I’m reading 2 long posts. I’m a big fan of short and to the point posts, most of my posts are like this since I don’t have a lot of stuff to say.

Okay, Ben has got a point…short useless stuff is fun too! My problem is I start out pledging to keep it short and then go long. I have actually sat behind someone who was reading my blog. ( She didn’t know I was watching her) She never paused at the long entries. I am a big fan of pictures with your entry too…visuals motivate…catchy titles…and concise communication. If its really good it can go long–but long is the exception.
Now 750 is mine…I’ve prayed for favor!
