When I first started blogging it was probably for very similar reasons as to why most other personal blogs begin. I thought it would be fun. I thought it would be a cool way to interact with people. And there’s that ‘romantic’ side to it also. The part about journaling. But all those fade away after your first few posts and the true blogger begins to emerge.
My site was originally titled “Shawn’s Weblog” but I decided I didn’t want it to be just about me. So I changed the title to what it is now.
I blog not so much so I can share my feelings with the world, but to create a place for people wanting to go deeper into a Godly lifestyle can receive stories, advice, questions and more.
I realize this is along similar subject as a weekend survey I took earlier, but I’m curious: why do you blog? Who are you blogging to?
If you’re looking to really build your blog these are important questions to ask. Most people are simply bogging about life. Which is fine, but if you’re looking to develop a stronger readership then you may want to fine tune your topics. There are a lot of blogs out there made by people who talk about life…
After you figure out if you even have a goal for your blog we’ll look at the best blogging platform to help you accomplish those goals.

I’ve read some of the “heavy” blogs on end times and theology. As much as I enjoy those topics, I find that by the end of the day, when I do a lot of my blogging, I’m physically/emotionally tired. I want to read and write about something interesting, pithy, and witty. Randy B’s blog is about the speed that I can handle. AND, I see that many do enjoy reading his blog. So, my blog is about life, stuff, family, and occasionally non-sense. But, as one of the few “older people” who blog from IHOP, I’m sure something I share makes sense to someone.

today is an information-age, and i think you have to be empowered by God to find the few needles He means for you to find in the whole stack of needles out there.
after reading, soaking in & listening to the most awesome men and women of God from times past and today, i start seeing how He has guided me all the way.
seek first the Kingdom, all that moves our Father, be still and know He’s God, don’t worry, but be led by the Shepherd. then we can go places where even angels fear to tread, in full confidence.
