I have to admit I tailored this question for me. I was on my hammock in my back yard and was thinking how I would rather be in the mountains.
My granparents own a cabin in Pine, Colorado. It’s right next to the Bucksnort saloon and the water cave. It’s perfect for late nights of card games, pop corn, hot chocolate and belly laughs.
I’d have to say hammock on the beach. I love the mountains, but never get to be at the beach, so that feels more vacation like. Reminds me of our honeymoon. Hammock on the Mexican beach of Passion Island. Ooh la la.
Sad. I wish I could say, where I am right now.. but honestly, it’s always a cabin in the mountains. I’d live there if I could. I’d miss friends though… maybe I could get a big cabin and do some communal living thing… hmmmmm.
With the cloudy weather today I too was looking forward to the cooler weather and hot drinks. So cuddled up with my honey in the mountains in Colorado sounds good.
Looks like we’d be in good company with the rest of you there!
Hard to beat a hammock on the beach, cool ocean breeze, sound of waves crashing, roll out and feel the sand between your toes, smell the salt spray, see the bouganvilla blooming — oh wow, can we go today?
Hey Shawn. where the presences of the Lord is, is where i want to be. You know God’s creations are all awesome so it is hard to say…..moutains or beach. To be realistic at my age I ‘m better off in the moutains. HA! HA!
Do you know Sara and Jonathan???
Shawn, I make KILLER peach lemonade… And someday I hope to get out to IHOP. I think I’d live in the prayer room… 40 minutes of worship doesn’t do it for me.. ;). Although 2 hours on the djembe and my arms have other ideas… lol.
Hey Joan, would that be Sara and Jonathan Backes?? Just wondering. I guess they’re two very common names, so it could be anyone. Oh well. Thought I’d ask anyway.
It’s tough to say. I love the ocean, and i live near the mountains so i see them all the time, so it’s a toss up. But i think…..snowed in with my honey wouldn’t be a bad way to spend a vacation lol
I’m always trying to get KC IHOP’ers to head to Castle Rock, Colorado for a little R&R. We have a guest room with a queen bed, private bath, and an outdoor hot tub. Please come. you’ll get free room and board for a week, we live in an amazingly beautiful little town, with a view of the Rocky Mountains from our back porch, and a forty five minute drive to be IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS. While you’re here, you can pray about being part of the team that will come to Colorado to help establish the Front Range IHOP Missions Base. Shawn can vouch for me, I’m his Mom. Love you Shawn!

I like where I am right now…no better place to be than IHOP. I would gladly vacation in either location, however.
P.S. I just joined the Friday afternoon team.
P.P.S. Hi Kate!

Ronni - If you’re ever in KC you’re welcome to chill on mine in the backyard for a while provided you bring some lemonade.
