After a brief meeting with Joanna and Philip in the onething™ office, we decided to put together a very simple intro Rider for those cities who are interested in hosting the onething™ regional conference.
1. Can you fit a lot of people?

2. Can you make the sound really loud?

3. Do you have at least 3 Starbucks in the immediate vicinity?

4. Does Southwest Fly there?

If you answered “no” to any of the above questions then we’re not coming. Just kidding…. we’ll think about it.

Bummer for the Cincinnati folks. Would you consider flying to Indianapolis and driving 2 hours??

I would have to run it by grand-master-Roberts but it might work out if there were several coffee stops along the way. But then that pressents the problem of additional bathroom stops. It’s a vicious cycle.

This is true… we’re not high-matainence… we have just made a vow to strive for perfection in all that we do!
We prefer “HOLY” matainence.
Love it… I think we have to add it to the rider!

How many is a lot of people?
How loud is loud?
We do have Starbucks on almost every corner. By my place there happens to be 3 within 40 yards of each other. Plus, we have Tim Horton’s every where.
Would you consider flying Air Canada? We can route it to Denver and then to Winnipeg.
Now take the time to think about this and come on up to Canada!!

Shane…
1,000,000 people is a good start - we’re going for stadium Christianity here.
If people can sing without losing thier voices then it’s not loud enough.
What’s Horton’s?
I’m afraid if the onething team stopped in Denver they would lose their drummer
Have you heard the joke about how they chose the name for Canada?

I have not heard the joke about how they chose the name for Canada. So feel free to tell the joke.
Tim Horton’s is what Canada is established on. It is like a dunkin donuts for the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). Our police don’t shot people, but they throw donuts well.

I can’t share the joke here in fear that Dwayne, the Canadian Director of onething™, may read it and kick me off the team. However, if we do make it up one day I’ll tell you the joke then. Fortunately I won’t have to worry about being put in jail since your police use donuts as amunition.

Canada from the native american word “kanata”…it means village. It’s what was discribed to the settler’s by the natives. And it sounded better than “Tuponia” (The United Provinces Of North America)
Oh..and Onething is scheduled for Winnipeg in Oct…Did “Southwest Airlines” add a route? Cause I don’t see it. Or maybe you just made an exception because you like us.
Oh, and naturally “Tim Hortons” was a donut shop started by a hockey player.

@ Johan - I thought they got the name by picking letters out of a hat:
“C” eh? (read “A”)
“N” eh? (read “A”)
“D” eh? (read “A”)
Just kidding. That joke doesn’t work as well when you type it out.
Southwest didn’t add a route, but Dwayne - the director - is from Canada. He’s been trying to get us up there for a while. Should be good times!

Come to Detroit, Ford Field that is, where the Super Bowl was…Plus I live in the area, and many other ihop lovers. We have Starbucks and Southwest flys here…so for the questions that is a yes, yes, yes, and oh another yes!
I don’t even know if it is possible for onething to put on such an event, but another ministry has last year has and will this year in April. That is the annual battlecry event (it’s more of a youth event, then young adult- http://www.battlecry.com).
