Today, readers accross the globe, prepare yourselves for the humorous, exciting and powerful insights of Jonathan “gwin-tull-twin“ Mills.
1. What’s the coolest thing about living in Fort Mills?
Well, I don’t know anything about living in Ft. Mills, but if you want to know about living in Ft. Mill, I’m the man to talk to. Assuming that’s what you’re talking about I would have to say having all these International ministries right there in the same area is the coolest. All the giant firework outlets right down the street comes in a close second however.
2. What’s your main role with ZHOP?
When Kirk introduces me to someone he always says I’m the worship director at Zadok House of Prayer (ZHOP), but I wouldn’t call my title something cool like the “worship director”. I would refer to my position as “Guy Who Needs to Learn The Word No”. GWNTLTWN; pronounced gwin-tull-twin. Yeah, that’s me the GWNTLTWN of ZHOP.
3. What was the change like for you when you moved from Kansas City to South Carolina?
The fact that I wasn’t moving because of Hurricane Katrina makes it downright heavenly in comparison. Also, another big difference was… almost everything; prayer room size and activity, responsibilities, fundage, etc…
4. What book / topic of the Bible are you studying right now?
I have been in Song of Solomon. I do Mike Bickle’s SOS study annually just to remember the reason I live the way I do.
5. What’s the average amount of sleep you get each night? Is that voluntary or involuntary?
Well, today is an interesting day for me to be writing the response to this question. My 11 month old is currently teething. Anyone who has ever been in this position knows exactly how much sleep I have been getting. Let’s just say I loose enough sleep involuntarily that there aren’t enough hours in a day to loose sleep voluntarily.
6. How would you have spent your time differently while you were at IHOP-KC to prepare you better for life at ZHOP?
There are many things I would have to say should have been done in KC. I would have exercised my meditation muscle more often. There is such a need for meditation in the lifestyle out here. I believe there is more need for meditation on scripture during the initial building phase of a House of Prayer. There is such little time to just sit and pray with intense focus that the only thing that will sustain during these crucial seasons is receiving the spiritual meat of the scripture through meditation. Also, I would have practiced doing 27 things at once 12 hours a day for 7 months straight, but that’s not something one could have anticipated would be good preparation for anything.
7. Where is your favorite date spot with Heidi? Why?
Any place that serves good sushi! We love that raw fish…mmmmmmmm!
